Jesus is watching you
A burglar broke into a house one night. He shined his flashlight around, looking for valuables, and when he picked up a CD player to place in his sack, a strange, disembodied voice echoed from the dark saying, "Jesus is watching you." He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off, and froze. When he heard nothing more after a bit, he shook his head, promised himself a vacation after the next big score, then clicked the light on and began searching for more valuables. Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard, "Jesus is watching you." Freaked out, he shined his light around frantically, looking for the source of the voice. Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.
"Did you say that?" he hissed at the parrot. "Yep," the parrot confessed, then squawked, "I'm just trying to warn you!"
The burglar relaxed. "Warn me, huh? Who in the world are you?"
"Moses," replied the bird. "Moses?" the burglar laughed. "What kind of people would name a bird Moses?" "The kind of people who named their Rottweiler "Jesus."

I don't know what the Jewish answer is, but I'm sure it's something other than, 'therefore, what I did is no longer bad behavior' -- or the Talmud could be a lot shorter.

Jesus is the champion of the common man. When He walked this earth, He did not shut Himself up in an ivory tower. He walked the back roads and city streets of Israel just like everyone else. He didn't run in the A-list social circles. He was willing to rub shoulders with the lowest of the low, the world's Z-list. And He didn't talk in terms that only exceptionally educated people could understand; He spoke in the plain street language of His day. The religious elite had done an excellent job of distancing the average man from God, so you can imagine how refreshing it was as Jesus entered the scene, turning the religious system upside-down and putting God back within reach of the common folks. No wonder they heard Him gladly.
He was relatable to those He came into contact with, and we should be following His example. There are some Christians who feel their effectiveness as a witness is in direct proportion to their weirdness. They speak in King James English, carry around one of those mammoth coffee-table Bibles, and frequently incorporate references to 'the blood of the Lamb' and 'crucifying the flesh' into their casual conversations. That's not being a witness; that's being weird!
