WorldNetDaily: Bush remarks on National Day of Prayer

WorldNetDaily: Bush remarks on National Day of Prayer: "From our nation's prayerful beginnings, America has grown and prospered. Through prayer, we humbly recognize our continued dependence on divine providence.

I want to thank you all for keeping prayer a part of our national life. May God bless each one of you, and may God continue to bless our nation."

National Day of Prayer Task Force | 2006 Prayer for the Nation

2006 Prayer for the Nation

Oh Heavenly Father, You have made Yourself known to us as a nation by Your mighty works throughout our history.
From the beginning, You have
been with us through many wars and conflicts; Your right
arm has saved us. We have
been amazingly and
graciously blessed.

Today, we confess our sin
of not responding to Your
right to rule in our lives and our nation. Too often we have
despised and rejected Your will while imposing our own, and we
are now facing the consequences
of our disobedience.
Draw us back to Yourself
that we may return to Your
ways once again.
Without You we can do nothing.
You have promised that if we
honor You, You will once again honor this great nation.

That is our fervent prayer.
For Your honor
and glory we pray,
Amen.

WorldNetDaily: The life that's worth living

WorldNetDaily: The life that's worth living: "But we are reminded that Jesus is not just our Shepherd; He is the good shepherd. It is important to know that the word used here for 'good' doesn't just mean morally good, though it includes that. It also could be translated 'beautiful' or 'winsome' or 'lovely,' even 'attractive.' Jesus is the beautiful, attractive, winsome Shepherd, and the Shepherd's plan for His flock – more specifically, the Lord's plan for you – is that your life would flourish. It is His absolute joy to bless you."

Harvest Crusades ::: Christchurch 2006

Harvest Crusades ::: Christchurch 2006: "Dear Friend,

I'd like to welcome you the church to the Crusade Connection. It's our way of getting the body of Christ involved in what God is doing through the Harvest Crusades in 2006. Just one day from now, I'll be preaching the gospel to thousands of people in Christchurch, New Zealand, and I could use your prayers.

I believe your prayers go a long way. As the Bible says, 'The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results' (James 5:16 NLT). So if you could take just a few moments to pray for Harvest 06 in Christchurch, New Zealand, April 28–30, I know you will greatly impact the kingdom of God.

It is my prayer that you enjoy the rest of the Crusade Connection. It's designed to give you a behind-the-scenes glance at the Harvest Crusades. With each Crusade Connection you receive, you'll gain new insights into what takes place just days before a crusade. You'll also get to know the crusade staff as they share their experiences in serving God through the Harvest Crusades.

In Jesus,
Greg Laurie"

My brother's family

Too good not to pass on -- Good one ---- Tailgating (A VERY GOOD ONE!!!)

A man was being tailgated by a stressed out woman on a busy boulevard. Suddenly, the light turned yellow, just in front of him.

He did the right thing, stopping at the crosswalk, even though he could have beaten the red light by accelerating through the intersection.

The tailgating woman was furious and honked her horn, screaming in frustration as she missed her chance to get through the intersection, dropping her cell phone and makeup.

As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and looked up into the face of a very serious police officer.

The officer ordered her to exit her car with her hands up.

He took her to the police station where she was searched, finger printed, photographed, and placed in a holding cell.

After a couple of hours, a policeman approached the cell and opened the door.

She was escorted back to the booking desk where the arresting officer was waiting with her personal effects.

He said, "I'm very sorry for this mistake. You see, I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping off the guy in front of you, and cussing a blue streak at him. I noticed the 'Choose Life' license plate holder, the 'What Would Jesus Do' bumper sticker, the 'Follow Me to Sunday- School' bumper sticker, and the chrome-plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk.

Naturally... I assumed you had stolen the car.

Something every American should see.

What is it? See below the photo.........
This statue currently stands outside the Iraqi palace, now home to the 4th Infantry division. It will eventually be shipped home and put in the memorial museum in Fort Hood, Texas. The statue was created by an Iraqi artist named Kalat, who for years was forced by Saddam Hussein to make the many hundreds of bronze busts of Saddam that dotted Baghdad. Kalat was so grateful for the Americans liberation of his country; he melted 3 of the heads of the fallen Saddam and made the statue as a memorial to the American soldiers and their fallen warriors. Kalat worked on this memorial night and day for several months. To the left of the kneeling soldier is a small Iraqi girl giving the soldier comfort as he mourns the loss of his comrade in arms. Do you know why we don't hear about this in the news? Because it is heart warming and praise worthy. The media avoids it because it does not have the shock effectA flashed breast or the controversy politics does.
But we can do something about it. We can pass this along to as many people as we can in honor of all our brave military who are making a difference. And please pass this on!

from Eve of Berry Home Fellowship to her Prayer Partners

According to the weather reports, it is my understanding that it is 122 degrees in Iraq right now -- and the low will be 111! ; the American troops and the Iraquis need our prayers for strength, endurance, and safety. If it be God's will, give these men and women the strength they need to prevail.
I am sorry but I am not breaking this one.....Let us pray.
Prayer chain for our Military and the people...please don't break it...
Please send this on after a short prayer.
Pray for the soldiers.
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
"Dear God, protect the people so they can come to the knowledge of your Son. He died for Americans and all the other nations. Grant them favor. Take us out of our confort zone to make your will be done on earth. They are willing to give up their lives for a god. Give us the courage to give up our lives for the God, you My Lord. In return we will give you all the GLORY and the HONOR, in the name of Jesus who gave His life for all."
Prayer Request: When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for all people around the world.
This was sent to me to pray just for the American troops, but God wanted me to pray for all. What He does for one, He can do for others.

Bible study draws a crowd

Bible study draws a crowd: "And the ACLU won a challenge several years ago that prohibits the Tangipahoa Parish School Board from allowing a man known as the 'pizza preacher' from preaching Christianity during lunch periods at local schools while distributing free pizza."

WorldNetDaily: Decalogue trumps ACLU again

WorldNetDaily: Decalogue trumps ACLU again: "The American Civil Liberties Union suffered another defeat in its quest to bar the Ten Commandments from the public square today as the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled a display of the Decalogue in Kentucky is constitutional.

In the case ACLU of Kentucky v. Mercer County, Kentucky, the court voted 9-5 to uphold the Foundations of American Law and Government display at the county courthouse.

The display includes the Ten Commandments, the Mayflower Compact, the Declaration of Independence, the Magna Charta, the Star-Spangled Banner, the National Motto, the Preamble to the Kentucky Constitution, the Bill of Rights to the U.S. Constitution, and a picture of Lady Justice."

Jesus loved to eat

: "In Middle East culture-You were literally united to one another by the shared meal- Jesus loved to eat with people

A)One day there was a short guy named Zacheus who was perched in a tree for a better view of Jesus- Jesus said to him:

1) Zacheus, come down, I'm coming to your house for dinner

B)Jesus was always inviting Himself for dinner

1) He still is: 'Behold I stand at the door and knock....... '

D)What a GLORIOUS thing it is that God wants to have FELLOWSHIP

with us

And when we come to Him – He invites us to partake of Christ

A)The Bread on the table reminds us first of all of Jesus who declared that He was the bread of Life !!!!

B) Jesus said: John 6:35 5And Jesus said to them, 'I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

C)The world today is FAMISHED and craving for something that will feed their soul- That which they are craving is JESUS CHRIST

D) That BREAD on the TABLE speaks of Jesus Christ, the living Word

1) He is the one that fills the longing in the heart of every man !!!!

But The Table of Showbread not only speaks of Jesus, the Living Word It speaks to us of the WRITTEN Word of God that is in your hands

A) Jer. 1"

WorldNetDaily: The secret to life: "When the Bible tells us to 'fear' God, this word could also be translated 'reverence.' We are to reverence God. Honor God. Respect God. It means that we don't take His offer of forgiveness through Jesus Christ for granted."
